I agree 100%. ^^

Agreement:
I shall NEVER smoke, do drugs, drink, or do anything like that that can be extremely harmful to your body and addictive.

I smoke and drink occasionally.

When I was younger I was in to MUCH harder stuff, but I quit without problem. (No, not everyone needs rehab to quit)

A guy at my work was just busted with I think it was Meth!
Idiot. There's a one way ticket to nowhere.
He lost his job, he's blacklisted. It's the best paying job around. We won't be seeing him again. He will probably be in prison for the next 10 years.
I just don't understand why anyone would even try it.
Something as hard and horrible as meth especially. Your first high is something the meth user chases for ever. It ruins lives. I'm sure you have all seen the pictures.

The only drug use I'm for is like Marijuana for old people. You are old, stuck in a retirement home, you aren't going anywhere. Why not?? Other than that, no.
Well, maybe medical use. As long as you aren't out in public under the influence.

I have top agree with you on the meth side of things... I've actually had the horrific experience of touring an actual meth house. The sad part is this home belonged to a family of four. The parents were both meth addicts and they had two young kids in elementary school. It was horrible. The place was trashed, spray painting and holes on the walls... Stuff everywhere... And mixed in with all this trash? Kids toys. I heard one of the little boys in that home say that he used to sleep in the doghouse some nights because he couldn't sleep with his parents fighting and yelling so much. He also used to hide the knives in the home because the father used to threaten the mother all the time. What kind of home life is that for a really young kid?!

I have seen some before and after meth-head pictures like this one before...

I know meth is one of the extremes... There are other drugs which are way more casual and not as destructive. I think the toughest part is recognizing within yourself how much of an addictive personality you have. Anything can be habit forming and from there can get pretty ugly if you let it lead you there.

The trick is to do your research before you try anything. I've done a little, and would do again if it wouldn't jeopardize my career. Like SK said, people don't necessarily get addicted, nor do they necessarily need rehab to quit. In fact, the body is so resilient that it isn't even necessarily affected by occasional use (unless you take way too much or take something that's really screwed up. Meth definitely crosses that line). Morally, there's nothing wrong with the occasional recreational use, but the law will say otherwise because of these jackasses that get out of control. Physically, it's probably harmless, but because people buy from dealers more often than making their own, there's no telling what's laced in some of this shit, which can actually be harmful or even fatal.

Eh, stay away from drugs. Don't be all high up on yourselves for being clean, though, because once you get over yourself, it's really not that big a deal.

I don't plan on ever using drugs.

I remember before they banned smoking in all restaurents in western PA, I would get sick from just sitting in the smoking section of a restaurent. So my parents would always wait for a non-smoking booth, just for me, instead of asking for, "first available." That tells me that if I can't even be around cigarrette smoke without getting sick, I better not start inhaling it first hand.

I don't want to get into other drugs either. My moms a prosecutor and does the domestic violence and abuse cases in our county. Like, 99% of the time, drugs or excessive drinking is involved. So basically my mom deals with a bunch of crackheads everyday. I've met some of these people, and they're not exactly people I look up to.

As for drinking, which can tie hand-and-hand with drugs, well I'll drink. I drink upon ocassion now (a glass of wine on holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas, champange on New Year's), but not enough for me to become an, "alcoholic."

No. My school is so ghetto though, at least half the kids there do. But I don't, nah, they're illegal and bad for you and I'd really rather not, they screw up your life pretty bad.

Does injecting lead into your veins purposely count?

We had a stabbing war and my friends mechanical pencil went into the vein under my wrist. Otherwise no. Tic tacs are where I cut the line on drugs.

Mmm, honestly, I've done pot with my friend.
I've done it once. I don't want to do it again.

It makes you sleepy and hungry and you think everything is funny. It's a boring drug, really reserved for people whose lives are even MORE boring.
