The man, John Chang, is a QiGong Master. He displays some incredible things in this video. Though it is relatively long (10 minutes) it is well worth watching.

From the description:
The film is called "Ring of Fire: East of Krakatoa", and this is part of the 10-year voyage of two filmmakers, brothers Lorne and Lawrence Blair, through the world's largest and least known archipelago - the exotic, mysterious islands of Indonesia. These island form a chain of active volcanoes that arc down and around into the Pacific to form the "Ring of Fire." To pass beyond it is to cross the threshold into another dimension, a magical land where ancient myths still flourish.

If he's real (which I very much doubt) perhaps someone should let him know of The James Randi Educational Foundation's 1 million dollar challenge. He could win it easily, if he's as 'real' as he claims he is. So far, no one has been able to.

Had to look that one up (the info on the $1m Paranormal Challenge is here)... I have to agree... Anybody who can light newspaper on fire with his hands deserves some cash.

If this is really real, there is a lot of money and fame to be had just if only to build one elite school for this sort of thing. People would take a couple of years out of their lives easliy to learn the basics and to continue study of this ki training.

Why then does this guy continue to be a humble accupuncturist?

This video doesn't seem to prove he's anything special.
Even if he isn't interested in fame/fortune. Why not start a school if he's so good. It would be a good living.

I know old master might not approve but if it's a dying art, it needs to be continued if it is real.
