They explain the theory behind how this fish got in there... I just can't understand the chain of events behind cleaning an aquarium and a small fish jumping into a penis...

Fish found in boy's penis

A 2cm long fish apparently found it's way into the penis of a 14-year-old boy from India in a bizarre medical case.

The patient was admitted to hospital with complaints of pain, dribbling urine and acute urinary retention spanning a 24-hour period. According to the boy, the fish slipped into his penis while he was cleaning his aquarium at home.

Professor Vezhaventhan and Professor Jeyaraman, who treated the boy and later wrote a paper on the case, explained: "While he was cleaning the fish tank in his house, he was holding a fish in his hand and went to the toilet for passing urine. When he was passing urine, the fish slipped from his hand and entered his urethra and then he developed all these symptoms."

First off....

The fish the urologists removed, which Practical Fishkeeping believes to be a small member of the Betta genus, measured 2cm long and 1.5cm wide.

Its 1.5 cm wide, its impossible to fit in the penis like that unless it went in months ago and he just never mentioned it to anyone, and in that case it would be dead and never have grown to be 1.5 cm wide in the first place.

Secondly, just like Rachel said, it cant jump from his hand/bucket/net whatever he had it in while he was pissing (nobody takes a piss while they have a live fish in their hand by the way, its just stupid) and then fall upwards into his penis. His penis is pointing towards the toilet, not the sky....unless hes peeing in the bucket? No. Anyways, its probably a lie on how the fish got there if there was a fish in the first place. Makes me question the whole news article lol

Maybe the fish hit the stream of urine as it fell and was able to swim up stream (so to speak) into the penis.

There's a nasty parasitic fish in the Rainforests of Borneo that does something like this. Men are told never to piss in a pool, only on earth or sand to avoid the same fate as this boy

My bad - it was the Amazon River, not Borneo - the Candiru (or Penis Fish)

Yeah, but its the whole fact that the fish is 1.5 cms wide. Can you fit a 1.5 cm fish up your pee hole? I know I cant lol So it makes me wonder how much of the story this kid left out hehe

That is a different fish. The article says this was a Betta Fish. You know, the little ones you see at the pet store in their own little tanks and bowls and stuff? The ones that you cant put in tanks with other fish like them? Fighting fish is another word for them. Imagine sticking one of those in your cock.
