Girl drank herself into coma at her own 13th birthday party

A young girl had to be rushed to hospital after drinking herself into a coma at her own 13th birthday party.

Melina H.* had been celebrating her birthday with friends on Saturday night, but ended up drinking beer and vodka until she passed out.

Passers-by who saw the paralytic youngster called paramedics, who took her away in an ambulance.

Melina met her friends in a subway station in Hamburg. They pooled their money together and asked an irresponsible stranger to buy them alcohol.

The party got underway as the kids passed around vodka and beer.
But the birthday girl drank too much and passed out.

Her parents will never trust her again....and thats IF she even wakes up from the Coma. I feel bad for the parents, but then again I also wanna know why the parents let their 13 year old daughter take off on her birthday and not keep tabs on her celebrations for the evening. 13 years old she should be having sleepovers and doing her hair and talking about boys....not drinking herself to death.

Just goes to show that these kids arent as smart as they think, they arent invincible, and you can have too much to drink without you or anyone else knowing it until its too late. Hopefully everyone here (the ones that SHOULDNT be drinking at least) will look at this and think a little bit more on wether they want to drink again next time, even if they still do, hopefully they will think just a little bit more before doing so.

Oh gosh, I suppose I'll blame the parents.
You need to explain what alcohol is at a relatively young age and what this stuff actually does to the body well before they will be out and doing this sort of thing. Then keep reminding them!
