Killers escape jail dressed as guards

Two convicted killers are on the run in the US state of Arkansas after escaping from a jail dressed as prison guards.

Both men were serving life sentences without the possibility of parole and local officials say they pose a threat to anyone they encounter.

Spokeswoman for the Arkansas Department of Corrections, Dina Tyler, says the search has been made harder by the fact the pair drove off in a car from the prison parking lot.

"There aren't any tracking dogs or horses or helicopters because they're in a car," he said.

I guess if you're stuck in there for life without parole, what's the worst that could happen? They just put you back in?

Yeah, but thats just a quick way out of sitting in prison for the rest of your life. Nah, if they catch them they will stick them back in, but this time I bet it will be a step up on security level if not more lol They were probably in a minimum security facility....they wont make that mistake again!

Nah, they can't do either of those. The punishment has to fit the crime, and no one gets killed just for breaking out, not unless they were shot down while running away.

Sitting around in a minimum security prison is just as fruitless as sitting in a high-security prison. They didn't exactly have much to lose. They had one shot, and blew it.
