Police: Children resorted to eating dog food

A 20-year-old Mesa woman was arrested Sunday after police found her two toddler children alone in a filthy apartment eating dog food, according to court documents.

Samantha Abernathy, who was booked into jail on two misdemeanor counts of neglect and two felony counts of endangerment, told police she left her 1-year-old and 3-year-old children alone at 2 a.m. in her apartment at 265 N. Gilbert Road, Mesa.

Neighbors called police at 7:20 a.m. to report that the children were wandering around the apartment complex.

I really think this should be punishable by death. Give her kids to a family who wants them and can love them, and hang this bitch from her own pole. Feed her nothing but dog food for a month straight, and then when she can't take anymore, shoot her.

What trash. She's only 20 and she has two kids by separate fathers. How pathetic. At least she has a job, right?

This is one of the reasons I am pro-choice;

nevermind the argument that "if she got pregnant then she has to go thru with it and take responsibility for it" - what kind of a life do those kids have, what kind of a future? and she's only 20 yrs old and already her life is messed up.

Honestly, it makes me want to weep sometimes...
