Thats what animals do too. Its a natural thing because it is so packed full of nutrients that the mother needs. Humans doing it is disgusting and I would ralph if I saw someone actually do it, but there are alot out there that DO still do it for the benefits to their health. Its nasty though.

And as for her producing too much milk....she could slowly cut back on how much she is pumping out, that way it would lessen the supply but not make it stop. It would be very painful (specially since she is producing SOOO much) and she might as well wear a towel around her chest because she will leak like a broken faucet, but it will cut back on it. I dont know about China, but some places have breast milk banks where you can come in and donate breast milk for those who cannot produce their own for their child, if they have those around there she could go there, or at least ask her doc or something about where she could donate some for those who need it.

At least she is producing enough for the baby. ALOT of women cant produce enough, so we know her kid will be eating healthy! As for bathing the baby in it....I hope they rinse it off before they take her out of the tub. And as for drinking it, I have heard it tastes ok, a little sweet usually, but the taste is fine (I havent tried it myself, this is what others have told me) and maybe they felt bad wasting it and were low on milk in the house? I dont know, its gross sounding but like Ra said, some women eat their placentas.....whats a little breast milk?

Char, I know it's the "mammal" thing to do and all, but so is marking one's territory via urination or ejaculation. We have evolved beyond such animal-behaviour (or perhaps I'm being optimistic) to stoop low enough and take a step backward in the evolutionary path to consume our own placenta or breast milk. If a woman's going to eat her own placenta and drink her own breast milk, she might as well fling poop at her neighbors for coming too close to her infant and "territory".

I agree 100% I was just saying that in some places (like you stated) that yes, some women do still eat them and was stating what I thought the reason for them doing so was. I think its absolutely disgusting that they do it personally XD
