Purple squirrel baffles experts

A purple squirrel which appeared at a school has baffled experts who are unable to explain its colour.

Teachers and pupils at Meoncross School in Stubbington, Hants, were amazed when they saw the creature through the window during a lesson.

Since the squirrel, now nicknamed Pete, was first seen, it has become a regular fixture at the school but no one has been able to say whether the animal has fallen into purple paint, had a run-in with some purple dye, or whether there is another explanation.

Expert #1: "My God, Margaret! Just look over there, atop the trees! Is that- Is that a purple squirrel??"

Expert #2: "EEEEE!! Frank, I'm frightened, hold me!"

Expert #2: "Oh yes, yes! How silly of me! I was only 'expertly' expressing my shock and surprise. Now this is a remarkable specimen, is it not?"

Expert #1: "Quite so, quite so!"

Random dude passing by: "Uhh, looks like someone just painted it purple to me."

Expert #1: "Painted it? Haha, ho ho! Mmm! That's rich, hoho! M'yes, painted! My dear man, do you not realize we're experts here? I rather think we know best!"

"Expert #2: "Of course we do! As my learned colleague says, we are experts! And we say, this is a natural phenomenon!"

Wouldn't it be cool to be a Purple Squirrel? You'd have loads of attention and your purple.
