What a stupid move on the nurses part... Before anyone asks, no I could not find the pictures.

Nurses Fired Over Cell Phone Photos Of Patient

Case Referred To FBI For Possible HIPAA Violations

Nurses accused of photographing a patient and posting the pictures on the Internet have been fired.

The investigation started with an anonymous call from an employee at Mercy Walworth Medical Center in Lake Geneva, with the allegation that a nurse took pictures of a patient with her cell phone and posted them on her Facebook page.

Definitely in violation of HIPAA, so of course they deserved to be fired. I would refuse to be treated by a nurse who can't protect my privacy. Not that I'd ever be sent to the hospital for the reasons this poor bloke was!

I didn't see that they posted the name of the patient with the photos, so if they at least kept him anonymous, then they probably are in no violation of any federal or state laws.

Sensitivity fail, both of you!!!

And the photos were of the x-ray so the anus wouldn't have been all that visible. Whatever was in there certainly was.

Makes me wonder what OTHER kind of pictures medical staff have taken and put online....lord only knows! Glad they were fired, wouldnt wanna go to the ER and come home to find pics of MY ass all over the internet! (that wouldnt be me, but you get the idea lol)
