Twitter bath death

A teenage girl was electrocuted after dropping her laptop into the bath as she twittered in the tub.

Police said they believed Maria Barbu, 17, had tried to plug in her laptop with wet hands after the battery died during a long session on social networking site Twitter as she took a soak at her home in Brasov, central Romania.

She was found dead by her parents with the laptop lying next to her.

Well, technology has even made classic suicide more modern! Its no longer a toaster or a hair dryer you throw in....its your laptop! That way it can fry your laptop at the same time so they dont find out all your secrets

I have a hard time trying not to laugh on this one. It sucks that the girl died, but if you are stupid enough to mess around on your laptop while YOUR TAKING A BATH then obviously you didnt care about safety precautions.

I pity the girl. In two ways. One for dying obviously. But the other reason is for being stupid enough to actually bring a laptop into the tub. I mean, she's 17. All your life while your growing up your parents tell you, "Don't mix electronics with water. You'll get electrocuted." But no this girl had to go and get herself killed because she didn't listen to her parent's warnings! But it still is tragic she had to die.

I don't Twitter, so yeah.

Instead I cook hotdogs with my George Foreman in the tub! Haven't got electrocuted yet!
