Week-old puppy flushed down lavatory

He was eventually rescued by plumbers after firefighters were unable to rescue him. The drama unfolded after four-year-old Daniel Blair decided that his pet cocker spaniel "needed a wash" after getting muddy during a family walk.

His mother Alison, 40, checked the drain outside – and heard the dog whimpering - so immediately called 999.

But as the fire brigade were unable to reach him she called Dyno-Rod, a plumbing company. Plumbers used a special camera to locate the puppy – lying upside down in a pipe 20 yards away under a neighbour's house.

Why is a week old puppy being taken out for a family walk???

These people shouldn't be allowed to own a puppy if they don't even know the basics of puppy shots (immunisation). Someone call the RSPCA (Animal Welfare)...

I can understand the kid thinking he needed a bath. Bath being the toilet... but why the hell would the mother leave a four year old with a four week old puppy?

I also agree with Tamamum. Why was the puppy on a walk? At four weeks they should still be with the mom shouldn't they?

I really hope the dog was taken away from these idiots.

I was explaining this story recently to someone. The whole story is a cascade of failures.
1. Dog was way too young to be out and about. Have you seen the pictures?
2. Little Kid left alone long enough to decide to baithe puppy in the TOILET??
*2* failures right there.
3. A 4 year old having any responcibility for a living thing.

I'm sure there is more. These people are morons.
