Woman trashes million dollar mattress

An Israeli woman mistakenly threw out a mattress she said had almost $1 million inside, setting off a frantic search through tons of garbage at a number of landfill sites on Wednesday.

The woman told The Associated Press that she bought her elderly mother a new mattress as a surprise present on Monday - and threw out the old one.

The next day, she said, she remembered that she had hidden her life savings inside the old mattress. "I woke up in the morning screaming, when it hit me what happened," said the Tel Aviv woman, who asked not to be identified.

Good deed or not, you don't just throw out someone else's stuff. She could have at least kept the old mattress until her mother decided whether she liked the new one or not. I hate it when people take it upon themselves to change your shit around.

It sounds like that one episode on Spongebob! When Spongebob and Patrick throw out Mr. Krabs mattress that had his life savings in it!

Here's what I have to ask though .. who the hell keeps their money in their mattress? Really?? That's just plain old comical .. I'm sorry, it's just ridiculous.

I remember that!

And like iRawr said, I can't actually belive it happened in real life! :p I guess that watching cartoons can really make a difference in terms of throwing out matresses- even before that Spongebob episode, there was a simalar Rugrats episode about when 'Grandpa' Lou Pickles refused to throw out his old matress because it saved him in the war (because he laid on it and it messed up his back so bad that he couldn't fight)!

So, yeah! Instead of throwing out that old matress, keep it for a while and watch cartoons instead!

It might teach you something!!!
